Product Summary

Enterosgel Kids is an organic mineral that adsorbs toxic and harmful substances in the gut. It works by binding bacterial toxins, viruses, and other harmful substances in the gut that can cause diarrhoea.

By helping eliminate the cause of diarrhoea, Enterosgel Kids reduces the duration of diarrhoea and the frequency of stools.

Enterosgel Kids is a drug-free treatment for children under 12 years. It can be used to treat both acute diarrhoea and chronic IBS diarrhoea.

Enterosgel Kids is suitable for children aged 1+ and helps parents treat the underlying cause of diarrhoea. The gel is tasteless, easy to mix with water or juice, and kids tolerate it well.

FAQs Answered by Pharmacists – Enterosgel Kids Digestive Relief

What is Enterosgel Kids, and how does it relieve diarrhoea in children?

Enterosgel Kids is a non-drug gut-cleansing therapy based on a natural mineral that acts like a sponge in your child's stomach. It catches harmful substances such as bacterial toxins, viruses, and allergens that cause diarrhoea. Once it traps these substances, Enterosgel cleanses them from the body, shortening the duration of diarrhoea and reducing how often your child needs to use the bathroom. It doesn't put the gut functioning on shutdown mode—it merely takes away the culprit. It's a gentle, non-pharmaceutical solution perfect for small children, including those with food intolerances.

Is Enterosgel Kids safe in babies and toddlers?

Yes, Enterosgel Kids is suitable for children aged 1 year and above, including toddlers. It is designed to be gut-friendly and is sugar-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, sweetener-free, flavour-free, and artificial ingredient-free. This renders it safe for small children with normal intolerances or allergies. Always use the correct dose based on your child's age and add it to water or juice to make swallowing easier. For babies under 1 year, you can consult your GP for use beforehand.

How should I give Enterosgel to my child?

To take Enterosgel Kids properly, mix the prescribed amount with water or juice (based on your child's age group) and have them swallow it. It is best taken 1 to 2 hours before or after food or medication so that it has the best chance to work properly without being taken with food or interfering with other drugs. If your child doesn't like the taste or texture, you can try mixing it with a cold juice or smoothie to make it more palatable to swallow.

Is Enterosgel Kids compatible with other medications?

Enterosgel should not interfere with most medicines, but since it absorbs chemicals in the intestines, it may also absorb some tablets if they are taken simultaneously. To prevent this, administer Enterosgel at least 1–2 hours before or after other medicines. If your child is taking standard medication, particularly modified-release tablets or capsules, consult your pharmacist or doctor for specific advice to ensure that both treatments work as they should.

Are there any safety concerns or side effects associated with Enterosgel Kids?

Most children can tolerate Enterosgel Kids, but as with any medication, side effects are possible in a few. These are usually mild constipation, nausea, or in the worst case, an allergic reaction. Allergic reactions include swelling of the face or throat, shortness of breath, rash, or dizziness. If any of these symptoms happen, call emergency help right away. Children suffering from intestinal obstruction, intestinal atony (intestinal paralysis), or hypersensitivity to components should not receive Enterosgel Kids. Carefully read the package and dosage instructions.

How should I store Enterosgel Kids, and how long does it last after opening?

Once opened, store Enterosgel Kids in a cool, dry location below 30°c. Close the tube tightly after use to prevent drying out. Do not store the product in a freezer or refrigerator. The gel remains active for 30 days from opening, so we suggest noting the date that you first use it. Check the expiry date on the packaging before each use, and keep it out of reach and sight of children.
